  • INQUIRY
The J-type thermocouple compensation wire is used to extend the cold electrode, that is, the cold end of the moving thermocouple, and is connected with the display instrument to form a temperature measurement system. The J-type thermocouple compensation wire is produced using the national standard IEC584-3 "Thermal Part III - Compensation Wire". Compensating wire and thermocouple are mainly used in various temperature measuring devices, and have been widely used in nuclear power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electric power and other departments.

J-type thermocouple compensation wire temperature measurement principle
Generally speaking, the J-type thermocouple may be separated from the thermometer by several tens of meters, and the temperature of the J-type thermocouple cold end (outlet end) is different from the temperature of the temperature measuring instrument (even up to several tens of degrees). If a common copper wire is used, according to the thermocouple principle, the temperature difference potential will be generated at the wiring, and measurement errors will occur. The voltage drop of the long-distance transmission wire, because the input impedance of the thermometer is high, the temperature difference potential (millivolt order) generated by the J-type thermocouple is small (micro-A level), and the voltage drop loss on the wire is small. In general, it is within the error range. So there is a thermocouple transmitter, input thermocouple signal, output 4-20ma, so you can not compensate the wire, but also can be transmitted from a long distance. If a J-type thermocouple compensation wire (which must be matched with the thermocouple indexing number) is used, the metal material selected can produce as small a temperature difference potential as possible at the wiring, minimizing the temperature measurement error. In other words, move the cold junction of the J-type thermocouple to the temperature measurement instrument.
